This command works just like the Extract command and performs the same decompression process except that it does not store the results on disk. This lets you verify the files in an archive without modifying any of the files or folders on your Macintosh. If you check the Validate archive after Save option in the Preferences, Compact Pro will automatically validate all the files in an archive whenever changes to the archive are saved.
